Gallery Explorer is a free Android app developed by National Gallery Singapore that allows visitors to have a full digital experience during their visit. With the app, visitors can access immersive, self-guided audio tours of the long-term displays and special exhibitions. The app provides insights into the largest public collection of modern Singapore and Southeast Asian art, as well as the historical monuments they are housed in.
The user interface of the app has been recently refreshed to improve user experience, making it easier to find what you are looking for at the Gallery. The app also has listings for current and upcoming exhibitions, events, and dining options to help visitors plan their visit. Visitors can scan the QR code of an artwork to unlock rich insights about the artwork or simply listen to the audio stops by raising your phone to your ear. The app also includes an isometric map that helps visitors navigate the entire 64,000 sqm of the museum, including both the Supreme Court Wing and City Hall Wing. Additionally, the app offers immersive audio tours for everyone, including kids-friendly tours that engage the young and young at heart by taking listeners on an audio adventure across the two long-term displays.
